Open the recording

Import a long session file from disk. An hour-long set is normal.

Approve the mixes

Mix Snip suggests song changes and transitions. From that same list you can export the whole set as MP3 — trim the ends if you want — or confirm clips.

Export clips or the set MP3

Vertical 9:16 · 1080p for TikTok, Reels and Shorts. Or a 192 kbps MP3 of the full recording for SoundCloud and Mixcloud. Nothing auto-posts.

What is Mix Snip for Mac?

A native Mac app that opens a long DJ set recording from disk, suggests transitions, and lets you export vertical clips. From the same transitions list you can save the whole set as MP3. It is not the iPhone app in a window.

Can I export the whole set as MP3?

Yes. On the transitions screen — and later on the clips list — you can export the full recording as 192 kbps MP3 for SoundCloud, Mixcloud, and other audio hosts. Trim the start and end if you want to cut dead air. Mix Snip does not post the file for you.

What Macs does it run on?

Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 14+.

How do I install it?

Unzip and drag Mix Snip into Applications. If macOS blocks it, right-click the app → Open.

Does Mix Snip upload my set to the cloud?

No. Analysis and export run on your Mac. The recording stays on that machine.
